- Only when I want a bloated, inefficient piece of software that is a
- so-called OS that is a poor man's imitation of AmigaDOS and the Mac
- System... that takes a computer with a lot of processing power just to RUN
- the OS in a usable manner, that sucks up RAM and hard disk space like
- thare's no tomorrow...
-
- Thanks for your reccomendation! :)

- Yes, and I am SURE Babylon 5, Star Trek: Voyager, Robocop (well, the fx,
- not the show) etc. etc. etc were produced on the almighty PC... right?

-
- Again you betray your biases. Do you think the mighty USA is the
- be-all-and-end-all of the entire world?
-
- For your info, the Amiga was MILES ahead of the PC when it first came out
- graphics and sound wise. 4096 colours as opposed to grotty 8 colour CGA,
- and stereo sound as opposed to a pathetic "beep".
-
- Now, we have STANDARD 256K colours from a pallette of 16.7 million,
- STANDARD stereo sound. NO config problems. Auto-config was standard years
- ago... plug in hardware, load drivers and restart computer. No more
- messing around. Multi-tasking... well... If I had 16MB RAM and a 1gig HDD,
- I'm sure my Amiga can perform feats of computing too... just like your
- superior PC, right?
-
- This guy I know has pumped in tens of thousands of dollars on Raptors (DEC
- Aplha chips) and Pentiums to do 3D rendering. But when it comes to putting
- the entire production together, what does he use? A "lowly" A1200... that
- outperforms high-priced equipment 10 times the cost.
-
- And yes, I work in the broadcast industry where "broadcaststandard" really
- means something and not some "hype" in a PC manufacturer's spec sheet.
-
- Thanks. Havva good day... :)
-
- P.S. Why don't you go back to your "superior" PC and leave us "poor" Amiga
- owners wallowing in the mud holes where we belong? Just get outta this
- newsgroup and join your fellow PC owners... where you belong.
